doo dee doo... *post*

hmm... on wednesday, i went out to sallys as usual, and chilled with lauren and folk whilst imbibing a couple drinks. tis always a good time. plus, afterwards, lauren decided to crash at our place, which is probably one of the reasons why i had some weird dreams. (mmm, grenades...)

anywho, on friday, me and dan headed over to jordan's place for a thang, which ended up being much more thangy than we had anticipated. I downed my flask over the course of the night, and also went undefeated in 5 games of beer pong. (and on the last game, we ran out of beer, and decided to use tequila-filled "bonus cups." probably not the best idea.) also, at some point, me and leah were standing on their counter, attacking each other. long story short, i passed out on jordan's couch.

i woke up, treasured that moment of "where the hell am i", and then realized that i hadnt moved at all- my glasses were still on and everything. so i got up, talked to jordan a bit, then decided to hike home. where i crashed on my bed and slept for another couple of hours. when i awoke at like 2, ambehtron was looking for something to do, so we went for a walk and ended up at Town Hall Brewery.

also, i guess it was the day of Zombie Pub Crawl, because there were people dressed up as zombies EVERYWHERE. it was verily entertaining to watch them stumble across the streets, harass people in and out of cars, and mumble about brains all the while. A lot of the costumes were quite well done, and some people really mastered the vacant stumbling that any good zombie should exhibit. good times!

And that eve, ambeh convinced a bunch of people to hit up Oktoberfest- imagine beerfest, but with less awesome and more beer. We decided to get Das Boot, and me, amber, and brandon downed the 2 liters of beer while following Das Boot rules- including the one where you cannot let the boot touch the table until its empty. twas a lot of beer. after that, we headed back to ambers and decided to watch Bringing Down the House, which is always an entertaining movie.

and To-sunday-day, i awoke in time to head to DnD, where we continued the tradition of kicking ass. (we also continued the tradition where every latecomer only hurts the party, and doesnt help.) amused, i was.

tharr will be 7 days tonight, which is cool. (especially because i retrieved my music from the bar on friday. note to self: dont leave things at bars.) I'm down to the last few grandmaster peggle challenges, ive constructed an impressive tower of rubiks cubes, and times are good.

One Year ago in LJ: unexpected occurances happened: a WUBRG-co vic mindmaster rip, i got my staff back, some ultimate, MPT vengeance, brock's birthday party, i got the call that i was officially in 7 days, and much fun was had. Looks like its still pretty neck-and-neck with last year. but i'd like to see how last year thinks it can compete with our secret weapon! i'll see you next week, last year. oh, how ill see you. mwahahahah!

You may recall that i predicted a "Wednesday Celebration-Amanda's Party-fridayventure-Lorwynventure" for this weekend. i shall now relay the success of each individual precidtion.

Wednesday Celebration: after working on my program for waay too many hours, and having a sweet 7 Days reh with our new folk, i once again hit up sallys with the ambehfolk. had a bit to drink, then headed back to dinnakin and watched Batman Begins. then i left the peoples to have their good sex, and headed back. Verdict: success.

Amanda's Party: after finishing off one of my bottles of vodka (which came out to be like 6 or 7 shots), i made the hike over to Sgt. Prestons for amanda'a par-tay, which kicked ass. Vanasse showed up, and after drinking a couple more beers and shots, we barhopped to some other place, and drank some more. Some people were giving out free shots of who-knows-what, and well, i was taking em. i ended up stumblin back to my place having quite a few interesting IM conversations before finally crashing. Verdict: Success!

Fridayventure: chilled for a while, then ended up frolicing to laurens and watching Pan's Labyrinth, Parenthood, and listening to a bunch of soundtracks and lots of singing. twas pretty cool, says I. Verdict: fun, but hardly a 'venture.

Saturday: was woken up by sarah jumping on me, i hitched a ride back to the Dof, then chilled for a while. I ended up frolicing with ambehtron until my parentals swung by- we picked up my tux, and went out to eat at macaroni grill. after getting back, i figured i'd just entertain myself with more Peggle, and so it was done. (if there was someting predicted for this day, it would probably be a success.)

Lorwynventure: Ted came by, and me and dan soon headed off to the prerelease. After stopping at perkins on the way, we arrived. We decided to draft, but none of us ended up doing very well. Even with monored elementals, i never drew into enough mana, and got stomped. we decided not to pod, and just headed back and ordered pizza, and peggled until i had to head to 7 days. lots of singing with our new peoples, and we went to applebees afterward. i was the only one to get a drink- whoda thunk it? Verdict: 7 days was more of a venture than lorwyn.

So yeah- there is at least one adventure planned for the future, i managed to obtain a flask, we decided that the "item to have in our room in unusually large quantities" this year is Rubik's Cubes, and i'm almost a grand master of peggle, but i still find myself wanting a good adventure. I guess ive been spoiled- simply having a cool life with occasional awesome seems like theres something missing. I'll find it sooner or later!

One Year ago in LJ: consequent progressions: more random sexy letters, Time Spiral prerelease, nerf sniper rifle buying, that epic war with the other dimensionites, and i started that short-lived necromancy-heavy DnD campaign. The race with last year continues.

Elongative Adagio. Sep. 24th, 2007 @ 10:39 pm
Bah? Theres a LJ here? I guess i should... update it?

Lets see, what did this week entail... there was probably a monday in there... and a tuesday... hmmm... one of those days i almost played ultimate, but a thunderstorm got in the way... ooo! wednesday was cool!

on wed, i planned to go out with the ambehfolk to celebrate Wednesday again, which usually involves me taking a couple shots before we hit the bars (so i can actually get tipsy without emptying my wallet.) the thing was, i had 7 days right before. can you guess what i decided to do? write your guess on a notecard and place it under your pillow. if you guess right, the guessfairy will come and give you a free cookie*!

so yeah, i decided to take a couple shots of vodka before 7 days. (like 4 or so. translated into alcoholic: enough to loosen me up, but not enough to actually get a buzz going.) and we weren't singing- we were just flyering for the auditions that were to come on the week's end. and well, we had a blast. From wandering around west bank yelling at each other, to kyle's awkward shoving flyers in front of anything that moved. After that, the 7 daysians bid me good luck with my "bellydancing friends" and we parted ways.

In a great mood, i met up with the folk at Sally's- where i bummed a ton of drinks off of the ladies (as they drink free on ladies nights.) and all was good. We chilled there for a while, had an interesting conversation about boob grabbing, and talked more. Later, i ran into Amanda Hanson, who i hadnt seen in ages, and she invited me to her birthday party- which should be pretty sweet. But after that, people started to leave. and once brandon paid me off to leave him alone with ambehtron, i decided to head back.

the week continued. On friday, Cassie came over and we chilled for a while- which was cool. we proceeded to go watch Ocean's 13 at coffman, which entertained us greatly. after that, i Yogged to meet up with ally, sarah, and lauren, and we talked about various ...activities... as we stopped by mcdonalds and ate crappy food on the way back to their place. everyone else ended up leaving or crashing, leaving me and lauren talking about stuffs until 4 or so. then i crashed there. (:D)

The next day, i chilled for a while, then ended up getting some Erb and Gerbs on the hike back to el-Dof-en-stein. but everyone seemed to be doing their own thing on saturday night, so i mostly just messed around on the internet, alone in my room. later, though, i went to ambehs and we chilled there, and ended up watching Batman Begins, and chatting till 2 or so, when i walked back.

sunday, i went to DnD- and played my surprisingly powerful character- a Half-Orc Werebaboon Monk. 24 strength and 10 damage resistance go a long way for making with the smashy.

after that, I went to 7 Days, in which we auditioned a flock of new awesome singers. woo! and afterwards, i was invited to go with the rest of the peoples to their traditional post-rehearsal mcdonalds run, where i learned all about nugfests and snackmeals, and had all sorts of amusing conversations.

The times were pretty cool, but i miss the adventures ive been having all summer (and especially near the end of it.) everyone seems to be getting busier, and partying less. this makes me sad. Clearly, we'll have to organize an adventure for this next weekend. perhaps an awesome chain of Wednesday Celebration-Amanda's Party-fridayventure-Lorwynventure will occur. we shall see. And by the way- i havent been past "slightly buzzed" in 2 weeks now, for those of you who are keeping track.

*I take no responsibility if the guessfairy shirks her sworn duties and fails to deliver the promised reward.

One Year ago in LJ: the fundamental developments began when Britany and Megan bombarded us with those crazy sex letters, but not too much else of note happened. not unlike this year, says I. maybe a similar title scheme will give me the same luck...

Septembuary Decrescendo. Sep. 16th, 2007 @ 10:51 pm
Time to post again! this one will probably be quick, as i have laundry in.

on wednesday, i went to ambehtrons place and celebrated Wednesday (as i love to do.) we ended up hitting the bars with some cool people and ambeh's new ambehman- who is pretty cool. ambeh won a 1 in 4 chance for a trip to acapulco, which is cool. plus, we hit the dance floor and rocked it. good times! i didnt get drunk though- it takes far too much money to even get me buzzed at the bars. doesnt change the fact that the times are still good!

on friday, (after a kickass joint-rehearsal for Carmina) we decided to hit the trains, only to discover that a bridge had squashed it. Thats right- the trains we climbed on oh so many times before are currently squashed under a bridge. but we still had quite the adventure with the have fun wall and wandering around lots of dark places at night. woo!

saturday, my parents swang by, and we ordered my tux for concert choir, watched my bro's gig at potbellys, and then froliced to lauren, ally and emily's place for their shindig. all the peoples were there, including robin, rachel, and britany. we watched resident evil one and two, then Moulin Rouge, and ended up staying there till 4 and crashing. the times! they are good!

we woke up on sunday, watched some more stuff, then hiked back to the Dof for some DnD. this choose-your-own-DMventure thing should be pretty sweet. hehehe.

then, we had 7 Days, and it was awesome. i did some VP, and got a sweet reaction from the rest of the peoples- not to mention the fact that we sound awesome with just us 8 surviving members. cant wait until we get new auditionees and really kick some ass! woo! also, it just occured to me- i havent gotten drunk in over a week. its criznuts how long its been since thats happened, and im not sure how i feel about it. *shrug*

One Year ago in LJ: We perfected the kickass phonebook couch, went to my bro's place in middlebrook and set up his internets, lots of chillin with the Other Dimension girls, and me and dan even played pool with jill and kathryn, i started my DnD campaign, i started Disgaea, the first Gospel Choir reh of the year, and the times were good. :D

Go ahead and live vicariously through me. It's ok! Sep. 11th, 2007 @ 11:08 pm
Where did i leave off? ah yes. I was at home, pondering my vagabondy nature on an innocent-seeming friday afternoon. But then, I made a staggering discovery about my party dilemma- i could go to BOTH. so i did.

We went and saw the scuba peoples at that shindig- and it was cool. we ordered a pitcher of margarita at the restaurant, and i filled my glass 5 times. it wasnt until after the glass of wine and some vodka at Ron's house that i started feeling it. silly tolerance!

then, I went to Kat9y's par-tay, and continued drinking. Twas a blast! we played speed quarters, i got my ass kicked at foozball a few too many times, chilled in the weight room and showed off my guns, drank some more, and overall awesomeness! and at the end of the night, i crashed in the den. (I know what you're thinking: "Adam, you charismatic stallion! In the DEN?!" to which i respond- yes. In the DEN. its official. we checked.)

that morning, i was a little hung over, (and still a little bit buzzed), so naturally i had a beer with katy and clayton. I chilled with them for a while, then we started getting ready for the illustrious Black and White Ball. (which included drinking a bit, and filling flasks) before the ball proper, we met up with some other cool folk at The Red Dragon, home of the Wonderous Punch- officially the strongest drink in minneapolis. naturally, we had a round. Then, to the ball we went!

it was amazing- we danced our hearts out for a couple hours, and loved every minute of it! there were plenty of odd sightings- we saw some mostly naked people, a bodysurfing mannequin, a gorilla, diplo's remix of Young Folks, and katy falling onto some concrete.

once we were all sweaty and exhausted- the DJ done and our flasks empty, we decided to walk in the sweet, sweet rain to a place called Little Tijuana, and had an amazing mushroom swiss burger. then we went back to katy's place and had a Beer of Reflection. and eventually, once 8am rolled around, i crashed, once again, in the den. (In the DEN?!)

we awoke at about noon and had some delicious BLTs, hung out for a while longer, and eventually i got a ride back to the Dof. (if they make me call it Yudof, id damn well better be able to shorten it.)

I noticed that i had 33 emails waiting for me, and that i had missed the first DnD meeting, and had thusly not made a character yet. but no prob, i just have to be first in line to choose-your-own-DMvenure. (i should get on that.)

also, this week was the first day of Concert Choir. and wow, is it awesome. everyone seems really friendly, and we're singing (get this) Carmina Burana. O Fortuna is just the tip of the iceberg! this is the beginning of a beeeaaauuutiful friendship. :D

after that, i earned Amy's undying love by downloading some stuff for her, and hung out at the Stock for a while for that reason. today was good too- i had a very satisfying chat, and all is right with the world.

Looking back, my recent life has definitely experienced an Augtember Crescendo. And remember, back around my birthtime, when i said that i probably should cut back on my drinking? Yeah- that didnt happen. Instead i had an ASTOUNDINGLY AWESOME couple weeks of partying, culminating in this weekend's Vagabondular Binge-a-thon. I think my life is finally starting to calm down, but i honestly dont mind. gotta have your average days so your ups are more appreciated, ya know? I am seriously livin the life i love, and lovin the life i live. Rock and riddle! :D

One Year ago in LJ: hangin out with jill and meredith's crew, and playing a lot of ultimate (dude! where's the ultimate been this year?) We "met" Britney, Robin, Rachel and Megan at Stock dinner, alfred visited us, and we pimped our room with phone books.

I'm running out of words to describe how awesome my life is. Sep. 7th, 2007 @ 12:22 pm
well, i dont have access to my pictures, so ill try my best to remember what happened recently.

lets see... on friday, i think that was the day when we went to Leah's apartment and froliced- which was a good time. a bit of a hike, but we had fun adventures cutting limes and whatnot. also, my first and second wives both gave me a tattoo, and i also got a tramp stamp. (note to self: alcohol and sharpees is a bad combo) but it DOES make for good times!

on saturday, twas the day when we headed up to laurens (also a hike) and helped her move in. twas quite the day project, but we had a blast- from driving circles around lauren's mom (literally) to sneaking past cameras with the help of a strategically placed car. woo! then, we all just relaxed there for a while, and ended up going to applebees for some more awesomenesses.

sunday, there was a par-tay at the very same house, which was quite kickass. (in the sense that asses were kicked.) i still remember all the good times- we watched Rent, and sang all the lyrics at the top of our lungs. La Vie Boheme even inspired dancing around the room! When Katy showed up, she just figured that the party was in the house that was singing so loud that you could hear it from the street. woo! We also hiked to mcdonalds for some sweet, sweet drunken fast food. (note to self: bridge beer is the worst thing ever.) Then we watched some more musical movies, and continued the singing and frolicing. woo! I ended up crashing there. (i sure do sleep in a lot of different places.)

monday, after getting an amusing ride back to campus, it was a pretty chill day, if i remember correctly. we hung with matt and jeff a bit, i played the Bioshock demo (which is pretty sweet, i must say) and also downloaded Psychonauts (which seems to live up to the hype quite well). dan spent way too much time Rubixing, we tried to get starcraft to work, and sometime about hereish we made our room into awesome. and that eve, i went to the first 7 Days rehearsal of the year. good times! woo singing!

tuesday, i had my crazy 6-hours of class, then i had to go to convocation right after to practice and then preform the first gig of the year for 7 Days. went pretty cool, and also i got to watch Lauren and Ally's belly dance thing there also. naturally, i had to pimp the belly dancers for a while- we ate some food, chilled out for a while, stopped by addison's place to talk DnD, then i headed out to Ambeh's and the girls headed back to their residence.

once there, we soon headed out to Sally's because we were hungry. they had a beer special and a burger special, so we each took advantage of these, and it was good. then, i got a call from my bro, and i eventually headed thataway to check out his place and such. twas pretty cool, but some of the guys there bugged me. also, certain other things took place whilst i was there. If i had to sum up the experience in one word, i would choose "trippy." also, i crashed there.

wednesday, i hiked back to my residence, and chilled out there for a while also. another chill day it was. we set up gopher grocery, so we could actually eat. (that might have been monday.) i played more Psychonauts, i remember chillin with lauren a bit, and good times. also, there was 7 Days that eve as well.

thursday, i endured another 6 hours of class, and then right after i had to run to west bank for another choir audition. long story short, im in to the second highest choir at the U! (the highest is made up of about 30 music majors. i was shooting for the aforementioned second highest choir the whole time. :D) also, i had ma daddah come pick me up and take me home for Leslie's party for Katy, which was also pretty awesome- chillin in her garage with the door open and the rain outside, with our bonfire made of candles, illuminated only by that and the Budweiser neon light. delightful! then, i crashed there. (how many is that now?)

today, (friday), after being mesmerized by all the stuff in leslie's house, i got a ride back to the house of mine, wherein i sit, typing away on the lappy. I need to wait for my parents to get home, so i can choose between the two parties there are tonight. A dilemma!

its nice to have all my classes on tuesday and thursday, but now i have a choir class on MWF (at 12:45) so i wont be able to crash AS much in random places during the week. but i probably still will. because it makes me happy. and i'm awesome. DEAL WITH IT!

One Year ago in LJ: I moved in, and promptly went to jill's party. oh, the times. so good! i hung out with those girls a bunch, and we pimped out the room of obscurity. our room this year doesnt really have a name yet- perhaps the Room of Zipper?

Well hello, Mr. College! How are things? Aug. 31st, 2007 @ 01:25 pm
woo college! its like, so awesome and stuff!

lets see, in the pre-college days in between, i hung out with Allin and Leslie a couple times, and even went with a group of those girls to Superbad one night (which, i must admit, is a pretty darn amusing movie) and then we talked for a couple hours and got a little food. Also, we fed some horses somewhere in there. good times!

but then, college started! once we got here, matt, amber, jordan, and halftom stopped by, and we decided to celebrate the occasion! we had some booze, then wandered around campus, eventually stopping by Mesa again (mwaahahaha) and then crashing at amber's place. one of these days, ill get all the crap off of my bed and actually sleep in it.

Also, for those who havent heard the news- Pandora had a baby! Congratulations to Pandora all around! the baby is currently being raised in facebook, and already has several of his mother's features. hurray! (I'd better be the frickin father.)

so, today, after wandering back to my apartamento, i decided to play a couple hours worth of Civ 4 with kevin (man, does that game make time fly by.) but hey, i stuck it to the germans- i sieged and took over one of their cities SO HARD, they pleaded for a peace treaty. I made them give me a ton of gold and technologies. soon, the treaty will expire, and ill probably do the same thing again. woo!

as for the rest of the weekend, it is set aside for getting up, getting down, and boogieing. :D

One Year ago in LJ: heh, i hadnt moved in yet, cuz the dorms were'nt open yet. mwhaha. so yeah, lots of chillin, arrested development, my calculator watch asploded, we went out for sushi, and other waiting-for-college things. i laugh at you, past me! hahahahahahaaaa!

Too awesome for words. But here's a good try. Aug. 26th, 2007 @ 11:19 pm
might as well post again, i might forget some valuable details amidst all the euphoric awesome.

lets see, on thurs, it was pretty cool- our family went to a relatively new restaurant here, Moe's. we started messing with the waitress, as our family often does, but she had a great sense of humor and was really getting into it. then, other waitresses started coming out and just starting conversations with us, almost as if she had gone in and spread the word about how awesome we were. eventually, the manager came out to chat, and it was a verily amusing time. in the end, we got our waitress' phone number (turned out to be the number for Moes) and she actually put the silverware in our doggiebox in response to us saying something along the lines of "yeah, put this in a box. ALL of it." good times!

then, on friday, i hooked up with the girls, and the 8 of us went on an epic walk to the bars. unfortunately, ally wasnt allowed into even the most restauranty of bars, so we decided to just go in for a quick doubleshot of tequila and then hike back to kara's house.

but that doesnt mean the party was over. far from it, in fact. actually, we had some more alcohol and stuff, and did stuff like trying to ride a random bike, or flipping over playground bars. some of us ended up crashing in kara's basement, just talking for quite a while. I guarantee ya, it was more fun than it sounds. :D

the next day, we just chilled some more until we all got picked up. i took care of some stuff, then went to ally's bonfire, which was cool. not wild and crazy, but awesome nonetheless. and then after i got home, meesh, jackie, and another girl swung by, and i obliged their particular desires. (hehehe. being vague makes things sound dirrrty.)

and on sunday, (today) i succumbed to the wiles of the 9 females who wanted me to come to renfest with them, and i must admit im glad i did. renfest is always costly, but there was plenty new stuff that we did this time to make it nice and awesome. good times, says I.

hehehe. ive been in such a good mood lately! I cant legally comment on this, but several sources have claimed to have seen me actually prancing on saturday. I have officially denied these accusations, and while i fully intend to sue the persons involved for slander and defamation, I have presented the scenario to you, my dear sweet LJ readers. Now you know what people are willing to do, out of jealousy i might add, to try and stop me from being so happy. Its hard being this awesome! (ok, im done.)

One Year ago in LJ: i gotsted my external, i beat Dirge, me and kevin went to that kickass party at ambers wherein we froliced with Sarah and Christine, and we found out our ca was, in fact, cachad. also, i GUESS i can give the music slot to something other than shine. but dont think that it means ive stopped listening to shine 500 times a day. cuz it hasnt.

This is what happens when you take a Golden Birthday, and let it SHINE! Aug. 22nd, 2007 @ 11:05 pm
life RULES! evidence follows.

on friday, i went to hang out with the bandians, and we had a sweet party- we baked and blessed bread, had some nice warm sake, partook in Guy's magical tea, proceeded to drink to Lion King and Aladdin, and just plain enjoyed life as we were all pleasntly out of our minds (even those who werent drinking. wink wink. :D)

then, on saturday, came my shindig! im gonna be honest with you, my loyal LJ readers- I dont remember very much from that night. But i DO remember hanging out with awesome people, drinking a shitton, me and dan eating the worms from the Mezcal i got in mexico, getting punched in the face, sharing some special moments, taking lots of embarassing pictures, and having tons of fun!

I think it was about then that i took my leave to the bathroom, and emptied my stomach of about three bottles of liquor. and yet i was still having fun! i tell ya, if you have to choose the two times that you get crappissdamnwasted drunk, i cant think of a better allocation than your first drunk ever, and your 21st birthday party. woo!

i spent sunday lounging around, not moving very much on account of a crappissdamnpainful hangover (worth it? totally.) dan decided to stick around, so we chilled for the day and took it nice and easy. awesome, it was.

on monday, i was still taking it easy on the morning, but i just had to celebrate the offical turning of the me-21-ness. i chilled with kevin for most of the day, then ended up hanging out with the summer-folk (like meesh, jackie, crystal, arielle, ashley, chris, and joel) and had a couple shots at (and around) the mid of night. twas quite fitting, says I.

then, on the tuesiest of days, i headed off to campus to take a load into my riverbend abode, and eventually proceeded to be taken out to the bars. twas quite a time- i just got tipsy, but i was verily entertained. for example, dan bought me a 'Tidal Wave.' (those who know what that is, feel free to insert your chuckle here: [chuckleslot]) also, we went to Mesa Pizza, where i enjoyed more of the bestest pizza ever to grace this good earth. (soo deeelicious!)

also, on the way home, i took the liberty of carrying a certain shwasted girl home (she knows who she is)- one who evidently couldnt stop flirting and hitting on me. (she was quite drunk- she passed out on top of me once she got back to her apartment. still, i must admit that it made me feel quite special. good times!)

then, after awaking the next day, i chilled a while with dan in our apartamento and around campus a bit. twas very cool- i gotta move my ass in there soonish. i love campus!

and well, that was TODAY, so here i sit, chillin on the internet, feelin on top of the world from all the awesome birthday happenings: the birthday wishes were awesome and plentiful, the birthday parties were awesome and hardcore, and the birthday buds were especially awesome and fun! (not to mention some recent texts that have been, oddly enough, extremely contenting.)

im feeling so very awesome right now, probably the best ive felt in quite a while (which is saying a LOT.) plus, im SOBER! (well, mostly. i had a glass of wine and a beer earlier with my mom and dad, respectively. :D)

i had been listening to my beloved pandora, but i figured that it was only fitting on a golden time like this to add a little more Shine to my life. i've had big expectations for this golden birthday of mine for quite a long time, and it makes me quite happy that i can proudly say- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, BITCHES!!

Oh yeah, and about a year ago, there was something about a surprise dual party, a Battle Royale, the birth of my staff, and some reptiles on flying vehicles. Frankly, it didnt make a lot of sense. (just... not... shiny enough!)

I like the future so far. Aug. 16th, 2007 @ 03:12 pm
heh, a bunch of little things have happened this week so far.

First of all, i would like you all to know that we live in the future. here's indisputable proof. Ain't the future grand?

also, i went to devon's birthday party- which was pretty cool. we went to annies, then watched hot fuzz, then cruized around watching the huge storm, and even ended up stranded in a gas station for a little while. twas an excellent time!

we've been hanging out with joel and chris a lot lately, which is cool, because they are awesome. just yesterday, we were chillin at joel's house. also, i fell through their deck. I still hurt.

in chillin-at-home news, the divine light of Pandora has revealed onto me 9 more shiny toy guns songs that i didnt know existed. all hail! but, the more astute of you will have noticed that my "Music" field does not contain one of these aforementioned songs. the song that currently occupies the spot is, appropriately enough, the reason for this seemed blasphemy. For Pandora, in all her grace and wisdom, has also seen fit to bestow upon me the knowledge of the existence of the band 'Take That.' I have used this knowledge wisely, namely to listen to Shine about 50,000 times so far. This concept makes me happy.

also, my wow account finally expired. im not sure if i blogged this, but i had frozen it about 10 days ago, and the money i had already paid has already been used up. everybody wave goodbye to Oxil- we barely knew his level 60 self.

also, im planning a shindig at my place sometime this weekend. who among you will be free at this time? also, get on aim so i can discuss times and such. DOOO IT!

One Year ago in LJ: lots of bandian hanging, i met Nathan Gamer, i froze my wow account with Ob at level 52, i watched V for Vendetta 50,000 times, the little bandian video game party, i was still planning my campaign, and working on my characters for Teds. also, The Crane Wife came out. so similar to this year, and yet so different. ah, life!

And the Adventures continue. Aug. 12th, 2007 @ 10:51 pm
Lets see... time for some updatery!

This week, (while coming down from the cozumel high), a couple things happened- i hung out with kevin a bit, played some Serious Sam (a cool chaotic FPS), and hung out with a couple people and stuff.
on thursday, a couple of us guys got together and decided to down some vodkie, and down it we did. we ended up running around in the backyard for a while, twas cool.

but then, friday came. i met up with amber and lauren on campus, than we headed out to the Irish fair thing. twas pretty bland itself, but twas awesome to hang out with the folk again. and then, after that, we headed back to ambers, and decided to celebrate. it escapes me what we were celebrating, but i figured it would appreciate a little bit of my secret mexican surprise: Mezcal Con Dos Gusanos. (with two worms) :D amber didnt much care for it, but me, lauren, and heather went at it, and had quite the interesting night! unfortunately, though, lauren had to miss the end of it, as she was spending some quality time with her ol pal, the porcelain goddess. but a great night overall, i must say.

then, the next day, i was whisked away to see Spamalot with my family, which was awesomely hilarious! i must recommend it to any who havent seen! (just dont watch Holy Grail right before, as a lot of the lines are right from the movie) but other than that, it was wonderful and glorious!

and then, right after, i went to check out lauren's temporary centen digs, soon before we embarked on the drive to dan's place for his bonfire! it almost feels like going to a cabin when i go to dan's house- good times. we had the traditional fire, along with cooking dinner, walking out through dan's acreage, a little stormwatching, a little Tick, some awesome meteor-watching on the roof, a little magic, we walked the walk to the faraway cornfields and chilled there for a bit, and just hung out.

after waking up, we chilled some more, played a game of Emperor, and eventually headed out at like 4, and chatted with dan all the way to pick up his lappy and hang at my place for a bit, and it was good. and right as he took off, i hung out with the group of people chillin in my driveway. me and my bro hung out with them for a bit- tried to watch some more meteors, but twas too cloudy. eventually, we just came back here, and thus i sit, cheezits in hand. also, lets just say that i should stop giving all these songs 'thumbs up's before i fuck up my Pandora. :D

One Year ago in LJ: i was also hanging out with people every single day, alden told me to watch brick again (heh), i downloaded a classic PC games pack so as i could play Loom, and i also wore a dress to talledega nights, then proceeded to wear a tux to applebees. i cant believe its only been a year. crazy! also, i did this fun quiz: (but this year will be awesomer, because i have PANDORA!)

1.) Put your music player on shuffle
2.) Press forward for each question.
3.) Use the song title as the answer to the question.
4.) NO CHEATING!!!

(most title translations are approximate)

1.) How am I feeling today?
The Bidding - Tally Hall

2.) How will I feel about getting married?
Miracle - Vertical Horizon (Ok, that one is getting a thumbs up for that.)

3.) What is my best friend's theme song?
Razorblade - The Strokes (hehehe)

4.) Highschool is?
Beautiful - Flickerstick (There we go.)

5.) I am...
Ruler of Everything - Tally Hall (Pandora, ive said it before, and i'll say it again: I want you to have my babies.)

6.) How is today?
117 Valley Drive - Bears (ok?)

7.) What is in store for this week?
All The King's Men - Benzos (I find myself unsettled.)

8.) What song best describes my parents?
The Hand That Feeds(Photek Straight Mix) - Nine Inch Nails (:D)

9.) How is my life going?
Don't Cry Out - Shiny Toy Guns (huh? wrong use of a great song, pandora. one less baby for you.)

10.) What song will they play at my funeral?
Since You Been Gone(Jason Nevins Da Rock Edit) - Jason Nevins (very well, you can have that baby back.)

11.) How does the world see me?
Dangerous And Moving - t.A.T.u. (heh. very nice- I'll take it.)

12.) My friends think...
Courage - The Bats (Hey guys! i think my pandora likes you too!)

13) My life is lived...
Lover - Nevertheless (awwwwwww :D)

14.) This makes me happy...
Evermore - The Young Dubliners (clearly, 'this' refers to pandora and the quiz.)

15.) What should I do with my life?
The Guitar Man - Cake (oh noes!)

16.) I will be happy when...
Don't Leave Without Us - Immaculate Machine (makes sense, i guess.)

17.) What is some good advice?
Violence - Eskobar (hehehe)

18.) What do I think my current theme song is?
Clamour for Glamour - The Ark (very funny, pandora.)

19.) What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
Hunting for Witches - Bloc Party (maybe 'everyone else' could explain this one to me.)

20.) The type of men/women i like are...
Can't Stand Me - The Brightwings (sure does seem like that sometimes, doesn't it?)

21.) How will you feel on your wedding day?
Slow Down - Nick Pagliari (most likely because she cant stand me, i guess.)

22.) What should I do with my love life?
Living For Love - Ronnie Day (are you trying to tell me something, pandora?)

23.) What will your neighborhood be like?
Grace Kelly - Mika (i TRY to be like grace kelly, but all her looks were too sad...)

24.) What will your dying words be?
Give Me Danger - Dangerous Muse (BABIES EVERYWHERE!!)

The Wonderous Mexican Adventure! Jul. 29th, 2007 @ 05:52 pm
I find myself with a little downtime and a computer with internet, so mayhaps i shall update from beautiful Cozumel! (methinks ill just edit this post as i find the time)

before friday, not too much went on. most notible event was discovering that Arielle (a friend ive been hanging with lately) has an awesome voice, and writes songs. I'll have to snag one of her CDs sometime!)

Anywho, friday night- i ended up crashing at like 1:00 or so, and then was woken up at 3:00 in order to catch the plane! so we went to the airport and did that thang (as i started reading Harry Potter 7 on the flight) and it was good (both the flight and the book. not done with the book, though.) after landing in texas for a bit, we headed down to Cancun, and this is as good a time as any to start:

Day 1: we admired all the mexican beauties as we got in a van and rode to Playa del Carmen, laughed at the people who were stumbling drunk at like 3:00pm (mmm, party...) got on a ferry to cozumel, then hopped a taxi to our place. woo! soon, we went on a shore dive, going down about 30 feet and checking out the stuff near the shore. twas pretty awesome, i must say. after that, we decided to hit the town, and found an awesome bar called Carlos and Charlies. It was then that i discovered the very greatest drink known to man (woohoo drinking age of 18 down here!) That drink is known to mortals as The Dirty Monkey. It consists of Vodka, Kahlua, blended Bananas, and pure concentrated awesome. the whole bar was crazy and fun! (Note to america: Steal mexico's "Tequila Congaline" idea. and bring the ladies while you're at it.)

Picture of the Day: Day 1 )

Day 2: we woke up nice and early to go on some boat dives- the first was on a kickass reef quite a ways away, but it was worth it. we went down a little over 70 feet, and saw all kinds of coral and sea creatures. twas sweet- the coral walls have some holes in them, so we swam through some coral caves and under some arches. so very awesome!

then, on our second dive, we went to a shallower place (like 25-30 ft) with not as much coral but lots of creatures, like eels, rays, crabs, and of course, fish! woo! after that, we checked out the island a bit, and went to a grocery store. (Note to self: get more crazy mexican alcohol.)

this whole place is awesome. we are right next to a little convenience shop (that also sells alcohol) a restaurant/scooter rental place, and, of course, the ocean. its right there. and its awesome. mexico makes me happy. for example, for our continental breakfast, the owner lady just picked some of teh bananas growing around here and but them in the buffet. :D

tonight, we plan to go on a night dive, then head out to town again and be even awesomer. and now, im off to enjoy more Cozumel!

and im back! lets see... the night dive was cool, but its a lot harder to see stuff, on account of my lack of glasses (not to mention the lack of light.) still saw some sweet critters, though! then, afterwards, we headed out to town and ate out again, having some goood ol seafood once more. woo!

Picture of the Day: Day 2 )

Day 3: the morning dives beckoned us once more, and we went out to even more cool reefs- the first dive was cool- we saw lots of sea turtles, and explored a lot of caves- its quite awesome to be down 50 feet, and then go into a cave on the bottom, leading DOWN. woo scuba!

on the second dive, we saw some more awesome reefs, and various other critters, including a small school of barracuda, and a Nurse Shark. woo scuba! after chillin for a while, we decided to skip the night dive and go out to town instead. we shopped all the crazy mexican stores, and drank all sorts of mexican drinks. also, i bought a special surprise, so we'll need to have a party soon after i get back. :D

ooo, in front of one store, they had a pet monkey! it was the coolest thing ever! naturally, we all had to hold the monkey, and have him climb all over all of us. I desire a pet monkey!

after we ate, we headed back here, and i decided to bust out the lappy once more. i tell ya, cozumel is a blast. the only thing that could make it better would be a troupe of friends down here with me. what do ya say, guys? :D

and im back! that evening, after the night divers came back, a couple of us decided to go back out to town. a quote: "The five of us are riding in the back of this pickup truck, down a busy road, and we're all drinking beer. I love this country." (a bird just hopped in right next to me, and ate some cat food here. silly crazy mexican birds!) anywho, we rode that truck to this little taco place where they didnt even speak english- we had to get Roberta to translate our orders for us. also, they didnt serve alcohol there, but they encouraged people to bring their own. so i had some more of the beer we brought in the truck. :D

Picture of the Day: Day 3 )

Day 4: We were woken once again for our two daily dives. the first one was on "The Wall", which was a 500ft or so deep dropoff, and the whole wall is coated in coral and such. twas really cool, because some of the little swim-through caves on the normal bottom open up to the side of the wall, and it blows you away. the only downside was that the current was really strong, and it could really zip you along the wall.

While we were waiting for our second dive, we decided to snorkel a nearby shipwreck, which was really awesome. we'll have to try and dive there later- twould be even awesomer to swim AROUND and such as opposed to swimming OVER it.

our second dive was on a really active reef, with TONS of schools of all kinds of fish- its really cool to just float in the middle of them and just watch. some of the fish are really curious and will actually come to YOU, and check you out. its awesome! now we must find something awesome to do tonight! but first, i think im going to instate a "picture of the day" on this post, and i might as well make it retroactive. :D

and im back! that night, we checked out a nearby bar, and ive been practicing ordering random drinks at open bars. I had a Strawberry Daquiri, then i realized that i needed to have a Vodka Martini, so i did. then it became happy hour. so i had two Sex on a Beaches, followed by two Sangrias. I tell ya, it takes entirely too much alcohol to get me tipsy anymore, because i was barely feeling it after all that. but just to be fair, we were eating the whole time as well.

Picture of the Day: Day 4 )

Day 5: we decided to skip the scuba festivities today, as a chunk of the people decided to go on a looong (and costly) trip to a far away place, so we decided to check out the island instead. we rented a car and went down to the south point of the island, and snorkeled for a while, then checked out the local crocodiles and such. after that, we went up the other side of the island and found an AWESOME bar- its on a cliffside, complete with palm trees intermingled with the outside tables, and plenty of animals wandering about, (such as chickens) it was pretty kickass, and i had a couple drinks there as well. (nothing matches the Dirty Monkey yet though. we'll have to get back there.) but this place still rules!

and im back! That night, we headed back to Carlos'n Charlie's, and had another good time there- this time i ordered one of them Yards of Dirty Monkey. mwahahah. much fun was had, as is par for the course!

Picture of the Day: Day 5 )

Day 6: yet another day of scuba awaited us- the first dive was a nice calm deep dive, down to about 80ft and coated in kickass spires and caves, and the second one was a slightly current-y dive with a couple REALLY cool long caves. we got to touch a sea turtle, and we even saw a barracuda with a fishhook hanging out of his mouth. Silly badass fish! also, today we got filmed by a professional scuba filmer dude, and we get to see the final project tonight- so that should be quite superawesome. woo!

and im back! I didnt have time to actually post the day 6 picture yesterday, as i had to head out to town with the folk. we wandered around for a while, then decided to have a round of minigolf (wherein the drinks are ordered via radio, and they are brought out to you on the course. :D) I ended up tying with Denise for second place. a good showing, nonetheless.

eventually, we all met up at a restaurant to watch our scuba video, and also to drink heavily. this group of people is quite awesome- we all make fun of each other, and it is best enjoyed over a couple drinks, some good food, and some mighty fine scuba video. then we finished out the night with a round of shots of Xtabentún. I couldnt pronounce it for ya, but i tell ya that it was quite delicious!

Picture of the Day: Day 6 )

Day 7: so began the last day of diving. we went on our usual two dives, but we took it easier today on account of the fact that we are flying out tomorrow. we DID, however, still see some great stuff, like another barracuda school, and a 4 foot eel. ah, the times are good.

after eating another great seafood lunch, we all decided to just chill here for a bit, but i believe the plan is to go out for a big shindig tonight, which should be even awesomer. woo!

and im back! the shindig wasnt as big as we were expecting, as everyone was pretty exhausted from the week's activities. so we went into town, had dinner at a nice place, (whose credit card reader broke, so we had to go to an atm and get the money, but we got free dessert and drinks because of it)

after that, we eventually headed back to the place, where we were all "surprised" by a cheesecake, and everyone wanting to get rid of all their open bottles of alcohol that couldnt be brought on the plane. so, we did that, and then crashed.

Picture of the Day: Day 7 )

Day 8: the adventure home! we got up, got a taxi to the ferry pier, took the ferry to playa del carmen, took another taxi to Cancun, boarded the plane and flew to dallas, then flew back here to good ol minnesota. also, during the flying parts, i finished harry potter 7. And im not ashamed to admit that i cried a little at the end, because its just THAT DAMN GOOD.

oh, and evidently two of our checked bags didnt make it through the flight, but they are gonna be mailed to us once they are tracked down (plus, all my stuff is here. mwahaha.) so its all good!

I plan to make the rest of today as chill as possible. i gotta shower, unpack, catch up on internets, and most of all, catch up on sleep. so ill just pick out one last picture, and then finish up this wonderful mexican post!

Picture of the Day: Day 8 )

Day -365...ish: I kept planning my DM thing, and enlisted lauren's help to do so, and ted was planning a campaign that never really got going. E3 suffered a near-mortal blow, more arrested development watching, went to leah's birthday party and woke up with nick's head on my crotch, me and kevin played some perfect dark and had a little something to drink during it, and just mostly chill stuff. silly country. welp, its time to settle back in- but i expect much awesomeness to happen starting tomorrow! :D

re: so....are you ready to get sexed up? Jul. 24th, 2007 @ 02:36 pm
Lets see what i can recall! (that title came up on the auto-complete when i typed "re". i should find out what thats from.)

hmm, i remember hangin out with Emma before she headed off to japan- which would be quite awesome. shes a lucky girl.

also, when we went to the mall to get my new glasses, we ran into none other than meesh and jackie. what are the chances? so we hung out there while we were waiting for the glasses to be assembled, and it was cool. (by the way- my new glasses and sunglasses just might be TOO sexy. I have to warn girls beforehand to restrain themselves. :D)

lets see... one day, we hung out with the Chrises, and after messing around our house for a while, we ended up walking a couple miles to chase some other friends in a car (because the car was already full, and we felt like walking.) twas pretty fun, but one of the girls had a curfew, so the long walk was for only about 20 minutes of hanging out. luckly, we got a ride back!

another day, we chilled with Mimi, Crystal, and Ash da Hip, and did lots of frolicing- driving around to random places and things. those girls dont party very hard, but chillin with them is very chill- so its excellent if you are just in the mood to relax (like, say, the day after a wild party. :D)

i also remember going to the mall again with some folk, and realizing just how many people get lit while they do their jobs there. sometimes it blows my mind to learn just how many people smoke pot. anyway, we ended up going to a bonfire afterwards at Crystal's house, and made us some smores. good times!

it was about then, i believe, that i decided that i felt the urge to chill with the good friends (as opposed to the "party acquaintances" i had been hanging with) so i contacted the folk on campus, and planned a little shindig. twas sweet- me, Amber, and Emily went to see Chuck and Larry, which was pretty amusing, i must admit, then amber drove me up to campus, where we froliced. it was really cool to just hang with the folk again, and just having serious conversation was just what i needed after all the stuff ive been doing lately. twas quite super mondo awesome! also, mudslides are too delicious for their own good.

the next day, we decided to go eat lunch at applebees, where i discovered the double-decker grilled cheese/BLT. this must be emulated in the future. so i can eat it more. mwahaha. then, i finally watched Pulp Fiction all the way through- tis a pretty cool movie. after that, i headed back home, and we went to another bonfire after that, then ended up watching Garden State at Crystal's house at like 2:00. good times!

then, yesterday, my new video card came! it makes me feel special, warm, fuzzy, and splendiferous. so now my free time is split between WoW (@ 59), Neverwinter Nights 2 (which is pretty sweet- i enjoy the party/relationship/alignment system thing.), and Sword of the New World- a mostly-free MMO where you control three people at once. its quite interesting- the three rows of letters on the keyboard correspond to the ability bars of your three characters. for example, with my party, the bottom row is my tank, so i often hit N to voke, and then X to go into defensive stance with my tank, then i hit Q to get my damage dealer to make some slicey, and sometimes i use my mage to buff my tank by hitting H. its click-move, but you get used to it, and its really the only way to move three people at once. i advise people to try it, because its quite fun to dink around in. (its like a 3 GB download though, so start it early! (or, you could get the file from me personally. :D))

oh, and ive also been tweaking my magic decks- i gotta play me more of that.

but yeah, i think thats about all i can remember from this week. woo!

Ah, experiences. Jul. 16th, 2007 @ 01:38 pm
woo! *leans up close to the screen and squints for a reason that will become clear later*

lets see if i can remember the recent happenings...

lots of hanging out, as usual- mostly just chilling though. Walks through the park, talking for hours under wet trees, going to bonfires, meeting new people, frolicing, all that good stuff.

then, on friday, Alden and Carson came, and that was automatically awesome. Lots of magic, video games, and all sorts of geeky stuff. We also watched a few movies-
Hot Fuzz: the Shawn of the Dead people, so its the same general feel, but i liked this one more than shawn, which is saying something. go see it now!
Brick: one of those crazy mind trip movies, and a very engaging story. go see it sometime!
lots of good times with them, as usual. but, late on saturday, they left (not before giving me some movies, some serieses, and about 30 albums. :D) and we left to head to Trent's cabin!

when we got there, it was pretty late, so we watched what was left of the sunset, chilled, then ended up playing some more magic and video games before hitting the bed. because SUNDAY was when all the cabinular stuff happened. my personal favorite: the jetskis. oh, how i do enjoy jetskiing! My favorite one would break 60 mph when i floored it, which i did often. plenty of tearing up the water! so wonderful! but then, after being flung off the jetski, my bro said that it was really fun, so i decided to crank it to 60, then turn 90 degrees so as to fling myself off.

Anyone ever tell you that hitting water at 60 mph is like hitting concrete? I scoff at that. (or maybe i just used my uncanny ability to bounce off concrete, but who knows.) so, i found myself like 50 feet away from my jetski, but as i started to swim back to it, i noticed that everything was blurry. so i turned back around and tried to look for my glasses. As it turned out, despite me having them attached to my head with a rubber strap thing, they were lost to the depths of Davy Jones' locker. (hey, it could have been a really deep lake, you dont know.) I dont know exactly how it happened, but its quite possible that they just broke from the impact of smacking the water at 60 miles per hour. hehehe, that still amuses me. 60 mph. hehehe.

but that didnt stop me from having plenty of fun there- i still went back out on the jetski a couple more times, i just had to follow someone back to the dock that i couldnt see. after doing more stuff, like walking along the coast and jumping on their trampoline, we went out to eat at a little place there (which was pretty good) and headed back home.

which, upon arrival, we were almost immediately invited to a game of night capture-the-flag. twas pretty cool, but i couldnt exactly see, and i didnt want to risk running around a lot, so me and matt bailed and went to another guys house after a bit, and we just chilled there for a while. good times!

so, today, i got up, noticed that my entire body is sore, then went to go tutor the chillens despite my bum eyes. but yeah, im gonna get new glasses later today, so thats good. and i believe the girls mentioned that they wanted to hang out some more later today as well, so its all good. :D

One Year ago in LJ: I started to write that new DnD campaign, and flipflopped about 50 times on which DnD book i wanted to buy. Also, i took that insanely long emo quiz thing. Ob hit 50, (which reminds me that Ox hit 57), i went to minnehaha falls with the bandians, had a sleepover at matt's and had that completely insane on-the-spot DnD session. woo!

Certainly not showing any signs that it is slowing Jul. 8th, 2007 @ 05:47 pm
And it continues! I'll jump right in.

I recall walking around a lot, and going to see some fireworks on the fourth- the walk was pretty cool, as there were loud fireworks going on all over the place. It was cool, not only because all these fireworks were illegal, but also because of the fact that there were loud explosions coming from all over. all we would need to do is start a couple fires and throw some stuff in the streets, and we'd have a nice apocalypse setting. hehehe. anywho, the fireworks were nice and sweet, then we went to Joel's house and chilled- did some skateboarding, climbed up onto his roof for a while, and just hung out.

another day, we decided to go see Transformers- which rocks. go see it, peoples. Even if Optimus Prime isnt your hero. but then, after the movie, on account of certain circumstances and other certain sketchy substances, a couple of us ended up fainting at Denny's, so we went back to Jason's and took it easy for the rest of the night. but an adventure nonetheless!

another day, we chilled with the guys- did a little more skating (and i screwed up my arm, blasted hills) and then we went antiquing (i shit you not) and various frolicy activities afterwards. We smoked some hookah in the park, and plenty of new people were met. good times!

another day, we rode down to campus and chilled with amber and company- watched some stuff, went to chipotle, and ended up going to a party at brandons. which was pretty fun- but a lot of the people there weren't very cool. We ended up leaving pretty early, and getting some delicious pizza on the way back. We'll have to make sure to visit Mesa Pizza early and often next year, as it could very well be the best pizza in existence. then we crashed at ambers.

when we awoke, we chilled for a while longer, then headed back to the house for a while, then headed out to Tony Beres' place for yet another party- twas cool to see him and people like Mark Hanson again, even though it was incredibly hot there.

some other stuff happened as well- (like Ob trudging his way to 56) but... im done. :D

One Year ago in LJ: My disk got speed holes, last years boating excursion happened, lauren killed the lava spider, i was watching through arrested development for the first time, Ob was 48 (but we were still playing our filthy night elves), and we saw Pirates 2 at midnight. good times!

I got my license! Jul. 3rd, 2007 @ 01:34 am
I might as well update yet again- things happened, you know!

On friday night, we headed off to Kat9y's birthday thang, which was pretty sweet. Lots of cool people to hang with, and we also got to play with kat9y's actual-size buster sword. woo! twas a pretty sweet party, but me and my bro couldnt drink much, on account of the fact that on the next day, we had...

scuba lessons! we awoke at 6:30 and trudged out to a lake to do our open water dives, and it was cool. we spent over an hour chilling down and around a sunken platform about 17 feet under the water, practicing stuff. twas awesome! then later that day, we went to...

Lauren's party! this party was a lot more fun, says I- a lot of people i hadnt seen in a while, and a lot less random people i didnt know existed. we hung out, froliced, watched Tank Girl, (an amusing movie, i must say) and the times were good! however, i didnt get to drink much, because on the next day we had...

scuba lessons again! another trudgery to the same lake, only these dives were a lot more open ended. no more of that "now take off all your gear underwater and put it back on, then pretend you are out of air and show me how to survive" crap, it was more along the lines of "go out there and dive until you run out of air. theres a cool sunken boat out thataway, you could check that out." kickass! plus, we are now officially scuba certified! I got my scuba license! then, later that day, it was...

DnD time! we hooked up with the bandians and made characters, its cool stuff. I made my Karmic dude, and decided on the name Uther Ephemerous. 10 bonus points and an imaginary cookie for anyone who can figure out the full meaning behind that name. (hint: the first name came mostly from my alphadice) should be a sweet campaign! we'll see how long it lasts. :D then, it was time for...

sweet, sweet, sleep. however, i was awakened by my bro at like 11:30 because he and kevin needed a healer in WoW, so i rolled into my compychair and did that (and hit level 55, by the way.) and after that, Baudino called, so we hung out a bit and caught up on our respective lives, which was pretty sweet. then, after i got my new (crappy) phone, i chilled with kevin and watched him play Rogue Galaxy for a while. twas cool. and now, im back here. However, One Year ago...

the MADNESS had its way with me. tons of, well, everything. we watched oldboy, and it was that very MADNESS that i made my root beer floatesque monstrosity. we hooked up with lauren and company at one point also, and ate at a vietnamese place, and watched Superman Returns. also, i did a little quiz thing where you list the last seven songs you've had the urge to listen to specifically, so here they are this year:

"Home" - Great Northern
"Young Folks" - Peter, Bjorn, And John
"Everybody's Changing" - Keane
"Alfie" - Lily Allen
"Grace Kelly" - Mika
"Hey" - Pixies
"Carnival of Rust" - Poets of the Fall

some good ones in there, says I. :D

Remember this day, for it will be yours for all time. Jun. 29th, 2007 @ 04:34 pm
Hey, friends, enemies and frienemies! this be my 300th LJ post! bask in its wonder and glory! remember, you cant read it until you have basked for a sufficient amount of time. I'll wait. ready? ok.

Now, im not going to bother differentiating the individual days here, as they really blend together anyway. so, i shall list of things of awesome that i have done recently:

We went out on the sailboat this last weekend, along with the lucky winners who were selected to join me. Twas pretty awesome- swimming to the shore, eating McDonalds flavored chips, and getting nicely sun-roasted. always good to see some college people!

been hanging out with Meesh, Jackie, Jason, and Charlie a lot more also- we walked around uptown a couple nights, and even chilled on a beach at 4:00 in the morning, just watching the moon and stars. There was also a cool playground nearby, which we visited a couple times, and played with all the springy thingies. Also, i climbed a library in uptown somewhere- that entertained me.

Went to a bonfire one night at some sort of old asylum building- people were telling ghost stories about how it was haunted and some such, and it WAS pretty spooky. part of the time was spent chilling on a dock out on a river, which was really cool and peaceful.

Oh, and some bandians want to start up DnD- i have a chance to make my Karmic Defender guy i was planning a while ago with Alex. hopefully we actually get stuff sorted out and make it work!

at one point there was a bandian bonfire, but me and my bro got a call from the meeshka, so we skipped out to do whatever that day had in store for us.

me and my bro have also been going on random walks- like one day we went to Mr. McLean's house to ask a physics question, and ended up going to some dude's yard to watch the fireworks he was setting off. good times!

and then yesterday came along- the whole flock went to a party, and, well... lets just say we enjoyed it THOROUGHLY. I met a ton of cool people, and a lot of crazy crap happened- the cops even came: a couple people threw their drinks in a bush or something, and the cop just laughed- he said "go ahead and drink all you want, we just want you guys to keep the noise down." twas awesome. i could fill in the blanks for ya, but lets just say that we got back from the party at 8:00, as my mom was leaving for work. gotta love the wild and crazy nights!

Oh, and Ox is probably still 54. :D

One Year ago in LJ: Ob was 46, and i was mentally crouching so as to mentally pounce on the metaphorical MADNESS that followeth those known as Alden and Carson. man, we need to hang out with those folk one of these days. its been a while!

I likea to say HOLY CRAP! Jun. 22nd, 2007 @ 12:15 pm
I figure i gotta update this before i forget all the crap thats been happening.

ok, so- on the very same day of my previous post, two girls that my brother knows came over, Michelle (meesh) and Jackie. I had met them before, but didnt know them too well. we talked and hung out for a while, but my bro wasnt feeling too good, and the girls wanted to go out and frolic. so, they invited me, and i accepted. on that tuesday, we went out at like 11:30 and chilled in a dude named Joel's driveway and had some hookah, and eventually went to another guys house and drank, and hung out by a bonfire. I met sooo many new people, and i actually remember the names of some of em. so much shit happened, and it was great. Jackie even gave me a cool sweatshirt. it was a total blast! i didnt get home until well after 3:00, and i was lovin every minute of it.

then, on wednesday, after watching The Science of Sleep with joel, (crazy-ass movie) the girls called again, and came over to hang out. and then we ended up going out to hang with some other guys, and did some other shit. great times!

then, on thursday, we got yet another call, and we ended up going downtown to a restaurant to hang out with a dude who was spending his last day with friends before he had to ship out to the marines, which was cool. we ended up wading through a lake, and playing on all sorts of crazy playground stuff, and then proceeded to take a long walk around the lake while watching the sunset. it kicked ass. and then, after that, we went to Tony Beres' house and chilled there for a while- i havent seen that dude in forever, and hes still a riot. then we came back to our humble abode for root beer floats at like 2:00, and talked about stuff some more.

this week has been super awesome, and it shows every indication that it will continue as such- the girls have expressed that they are having just as much fun as me and my brother when we hang out. its wonderful and awesome. plus, i have been on some sort of mind-altering substance every day ive known these girls, and i havent paid for any of it. it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Oh, and i managed to get Ox to 52 in the times from when i get up (which has been as late as 1:30ish) to when the partying starts. life RULES.

One Year ago in LJ: i got my ram and katana, and posted comparison pictures. also, we went on that rainy valleyfair trip of pure awesome- from throwing shovelfulls of water on each other beforehand, to actually runnin full blast through valleyfair to avoid the rain. also, we chilled at sarahs a bit, messing with her computers and admiring how cool Good Cat is. I watched Advent Children with baudino and vanasse (or rather, the first half of it), watched Nacho Libre with the bandians, went out to Ichiban with my parents, Ob hit 41 and got his glorious Yoshi, and life kicked ass. I swear, these things come in waves- whenever i have a total and complete blast of a time, the same time last year was also awesome. cant complain with that!

Let's kick this pig! Jun. 19th, 2007 @ 12:12 pm
doo dee doo...

anywho, following in the trend- Ox is level 51 now, and still kickin ass. matt just hit 48, and kevin is 47-48ish as well, but he cut back on his wow time, so hes gonna fall behind even more now... /cry...

other than that, ive been doin some things to get away from wow- went on a bike ride one day, a walk another day, chilled with Kelsey and Moe yet another day. good times!

nothing too exciting, but i took the non-excitingness to heart, and made a couple plans- we'll see how they turn out. heh. hehehe. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAA!

One Year ago in LJ: (correct version) Ob hit level 38, and was furiously saving up mount money, you know, for YOSHI! plus, i played some ultimate, did that picture taking thing with the peoples at the walker, and i ordered my katana and my RAM. good times!
